When you say every cruise ship has 24 hour food that is usually but not universally true. For example the smaller cruises on Windjammer are not targeted for the people who eat 24 hours a day. It is also a good experience, but not the same. I did an episode on the Amateur Traveler podcast comparing that experience the typical cruise experience.
as to cabin sizes they can vary quite a lot on different boats. We were on one boat (Empress of the Seas) where the room was one foot wider than the bed and the floor space was small enough that my wife and I had to take turns getting dressed.
